Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name    : elpa-puppet-mode
  Version         : 0.3+
  Upstream Author : various
* URL             : https://github.com/voxpupuli/puppet-mode/
* License         : GPL-3(+?)
  Programming Lang: Elisp
  Description : syntax highlighting for puppet manifests in emacs

 The puppet-el package provides syntax highlighting for puppet
 manifests (files ending with (".pp").

---

Until the stretch release, the puppet source package also shipped a
`puppet-el` package that provided a nice puppet-mode to edit Puppet
manifests. We lost that in the stretch release, but it would be nice
to see this eventually return.

The upstream package seems mostly abandoned, which explains (partly)
why this disappeared:

https://github.com/puppetlabs/puppet-syntax-emacs

It seems this is the new source for the package:

https://github.com/voxpupuli/puppet-mode

I *think* I have it installed through ELPA and it works well, but I'm
not sure it's the same source, which is (partly) why I'd love if Emacs
people (in CC) could take a look at this one.

Thanks!
