Gutter-fringe shows the diff for the currently edited file in the
"fringe" of the buffer. Features:

 * Asynchronous updating
 * Live updating
 * Support multiple VCS
 * Support Tramp
 * Work without vc-mode

git-gutter-fringe.el is fringe version of of git-gutter.el.

git-gutter.el is port of GitGutter which is a plugin of Sublime Text

git-gutter.el does not work with linum-mode but git-gutter-fringe.el
can work with linum-mode. In contrast, git-gutter-fringe.el does not
work in tty frame(emacs -nw), but git-gutter.el can work in tty frame.

This would probably require packaging `git-gutter` first, as it's a
dependency. I think.

I would love if the emacsen team would magically handle all of
this. :) I have tried the package as installed from package.el and
it's pretty awesome.

There's also a vim version, but I'm no heretic. ;)
