* Package name    : unum
  Version         : 2.2
  Upstream Author : John Walker <bugs@fourmilab.ch>

* License : Artistic or GPL
  Programming Lang: Perl
  Description : Interconvert numbers, Unicode, and HTML/XHTML entities

The unum program is a command line utility which allows you to convert
decimal, octal, hexadecimal, and binary numbers; Unicode character and
block names; and HTML/XHTML character entity names into one another. It
can be used as an on-line special character reference for Web authors.

It looks like a useful utility. I have used it in the past when I
wanted to look up some unicode characters. As far as I know, it's not a
dependency of any other packages. It appears that the "unicode" package
(e.g. https://packages.debian.org/stretch/unicode ) provides some of the
informational aspects of this utility, but doesn't perform conversion.

There is not currently a packaging team (pkg-fonts may be applicable).
Radovan Garabík <garabik@kassiopeia.juls.savba.sk> currently maintains
the "unicode" package.
