Perhaps, but I think that as upstream testing and new features would be
using inifile, and as the new package is so small, it may cause more
problems in the longer term.

Unless the upstream would like to move to a different inifile library, I
wouldn't want to have to update a patch for every new version.

INI files are also not very well defined and interoperability between
libraries cannot be guaranteed. We expect that people will be using
lektor on non-Debian systems and then have the same configurations work
on Debian systems (and vice-versa).
