 mate-calc is a powerful graphical calculator with financial, logical and
 scientific modes. It uses a multiple precision package to do its arithmetic
 to give a high degree of accuracy.

 MATE calc had for a long time been substituted by GNOME's calcular application.
 For upcoming MATE 2.0, MATE resurrected the original calculator support, ported
 it to GTK-3 and now ships its own calculator with the MATE desktop environment.

 The package will be maintained by the Debian MATE Packaging Team and the Ubuntu
 MATE Team.
