This package was recommended to me as a good XMPP client for newcomers,
and from the screenshots it does look like it is.
As I'm more of an irssi-like-UI person, I'm not personally interested in
using, nor maintaining it, but I'm opening this RFP to keep track of
interest from other people.

In case it was packaged I would install it and, if it correspond to
expectations, recommend it to other users who are more prone to use
conventional UIs.

At a quick glance, I've noticed that the source repository includes some
3rd party components that may require splitting out, see e.g.
