Its functionalities is arranged as plugins and can be extended easily. Original project put plugins into git submodules. I will repack upstream source code to put them inside a repacked src tarball. Vendored 3rd party code (in the form of git submodule, like pybind11) and non-free part (e.g., virtualbox plugin which needs vbox headers) will be disabled or removed before we have a better solution.
