Description : Disco is a MapReduce implementation with jobs written in Python

Disco is a Java framework for building distributed, data-intensive
applications modeled off of Google's MapReduce publication. Though the
core of Disco is written in Erlang, jobs are specified in
Python. Disco can be run on a cluster of machines but it will also
benefit data processing in situations with a single machine so long as
it has more than one core and can benefit from Erlang's
parallelism. Disco was developed at the Nokia Research Center.
