I am adopting songwrite to help it stay in Debian 9.0 "stretch", the
upcoming stable release.
The most important change is to change "Depends: lilypond" to a
"Recommend", so just in case lilypond does not make it, songwrite
could still stay in,
see http://bugs.debian.org/746005 for lilypond's struggle with the
removal of guile-1.8 and the incompatibility with guile-2.0.
The upload will happen later today.
The next steps will be to package python-editobj2 (?) and songwrite2,
which people say are much nicer, but that will be for some other day.
The upstream source tarballs are at http://download.gna.org/songwrite/
