"German-written" would mean "written by Germans" - a more efficient
alternative to "ghost-written".

DevRef recommends no extra capitalisation in a synopsis - that would
be "book about...". And I wouldn't use "with" quite like that. How
about:
Description: book in German about Debian package management

I don't know; as long as it mentions the German book title I'd think
that would be enough. In fact you might argue that a long description
like this should be *entirely* in German, so that people who can't
read it immediately recognise this package as useless to them. But
that's not what policy currently says, and if it's going to be in
English it needs a couple of tweaks to the articles:
# This package contains the book "Debian Paketmanagement" by Axel Beckert
# and Frank Hofmann as <ins>a<ins> single HTML page, as <ins>a</ins>
# PDF document and as <ins>an</ins> e-book in <del>the</del> epub format.
