FWIW at Wikimedia Foundation we have a diamond deployment, debian package is
at https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/operations/debs/python-diamond though at
version 3.5 in case there's something reusable. I've never found the time to
upload it to Debian but happy to help e.g. via collab-maint, what do you
think?

Also re: version the pypi version is 4.0.195 from 2015-07-18 but I couldn't
find a corresponding tag on github
