I no longer work with BlackBerry 10, so I'm moving this inactive bug
back to RFP. My gbp repository is still up and I'd be happy to assist.

I contacted the upstream author about a linking exception and didn't
hear back. I imagine the OpenSSL functions can be renamed to use their
equivalents in GnuTLS or cryptlib, but that doesn't seem to be a
trivial task.
