Bug#758223: Are you working on the packaging of 'Variety'?

Control: merge 758223 798575

Hi Sabniveesu,

I've already packaged variety in Debian and had it uploaded a few weeks back. It's waiting in NEW to be accepted by the FTP masters. The relevant ITP is here: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=758223, and the RFS at https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=797636.

While I'm not opposed to working with co-maintainers, a reupload certainly wouldn't be necessary. My packaging is stored in Git at https://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=collab-maint/variety.git if you're interested.

For the sake of convenience, I'll merge these ITPs now.

Best,
James

Hi James Lu,

I opened an ITP bug (https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=798575) recently to package 'Variety'. As I just uploaded my package to mentors.debian.net, I found here - https://ftp-master.debian.org/new/variety_0.5.4-1.html that you've already managed to find a sponsor too.

Do you think I shouldn't be working on this?

Please respond
