Above is a nice introduction to "Notebooks" in general.

I suggest to (perhaps shorten, and) add a section on what makes Beaker 
special among Notbooks - i.e. how it differs from ipython-notebook 
(already in Debian) and Jupyter and iJulia (not in Debian currently).  
From my understanding Beaker is a "wrapper" for ipython, julia, R, 
Scala, Nodejs and more (introducing a notebook equivalent of Un*x 
"pipes"), and is a competitor to (or argubly successor of) 
ipython-notebook, Jupyter and iJulia.

...and will hopefully - if succesfully packaged fast enough - be part of 
a project targeted next DebConf: https://wiki.debian.org/ShowMeBox :-D
