The tap module provides a set of tools for working with the
Test Anything Protocol (TAP). TAP is a line based test protocol
for recording test data in a standard way.

This module comes with a test-runner that implements the
unittest.TestRunner interface and that produces TAP compliant
output. It also includes tools to parse the output produced by
TAP compliant test-runners.

As pointed out by Mònica Ramírez Arceda on mentors and Andrey
Rahmatullin by mail,
there is a discrepancy between the ITP and the RFS bug: the former
uses the name of binary
package while the latter uses the name of the source package.

New ITP bug with source package name opened: #786636 [1]

Nicolas.
