Bug#760025: RFP: xserver-xorg-video-fbturbo -- X.Org X server -- fbturbo display driver

Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name    : xserver-xorg-video-fbturbo
  Version         : 0.5.1
  Upstream Author : Siarhei Siamashka <siarhei.siamashka@gmail.com> and others
* URL             : https://github.com/ssvb/xf86-video-fbturbo
* License         : GPL2+, MIT/X
  Programming Lang: C
  Description     : X.Org X server -- fbturbo display driver

Essentially, xf86-video-fbturbo can be just used as a drop-in
replacement and run on practically any Linux system. There will be no
real difference on x86, but any ARM based system should see better
performance thanks to some additional optimizations (the elimination of
ShadowFB layer, ARM NEON/VFP code for dealing with uncached framebuffer
reads, automatic backing store management for faster window moves).

I'm not really in a position to maintain this, but it provides
significant performance boost on arm systems over the fbdev driver.

live well,
