I believe it is.  When the package is orphaned, it show up as a
package in need of help on all machines running how-can-i-help, as
well as a package in distress on the package pages for all packages
depending/recommending/suggesting ifrench.  This causes unneeded work
checking the status and drag focus away from people that would be
better off spending that time elsewhere.

If you plan to take over the package, please upload a new one with the
updated maintainer. :)

Perhaps you can add a test for ci.debian.net too in the process, if
you want some functional change in the upload. :)
