Description : GTK+ calendar application
This calendar application was written as a part of Debian. It has a beautiful user interface and uses many modern GTK widgets. The calendar uses Evolution Data Server as a backend and features online syncing through EDS.
Although Evolution has a very useful and complete calendar component, the application is quite bloated and contains contact and email functionality bolted on. GNOME calendar is a similar application, but it is written in C with GObject, which is not suitable for new contributors. Finally, California (written by Yorba) is an alternative that does not suffer the above problems, however it is a very new application and is not yet packaged.
I plan to maintain this application myself, however I do need a sponsor for it. I have already packaged this mostly; I am just waiting for Granite (a GUI library) to be packaged before I request sponsorship.
