As mentioned a few times before, I think it would be simplest to just
add cgit to the git package.  If someone using cgit wants to be a
co-maintainer I'm happy to let them maintain the cgit packaging
however they like.

I can write a patch demonstrating what I mean making use of your
packaging from http://git.keshi.org/debian/cgit.git if you like.  What
do you think?
