Argh, thanks for your prompt response.  I thought it's ok just because
reportbug didn't give me any caution!

I've simply made a source package which contains the whole git
distribution of specific version.

I know it wouldn't be the best solution at all, but might be
acceptable considering the upstream activity has been high enough.
However it doesn't look like an option after reading the discussion in
#515793.

It would be better if we could rely on libit2 or something alike
instead, but it still seems to be in experimental.

Anyway I'm going to investigate possible ways...
