It is unclear to me under what terms the content of a file with that header can
be distributed.

Sorry again for having been too shallow with this. Mehdi Dogguy was right with
pointing out that I should be careful copyright/license questions.
I'll look over all of it again and try to find out from where precisely each
piece of code is coming from.
