I would like to adopt this package. I'm not currently involved with Debian package maintenance, and this package is a good exercise.
Please find enclosed suggested updated .orig.tar.gz and .debian.tar.gz.
For information, upstream for this package has changed and this package now replaces bkhive, another orphaned package (#673945) - below is an extract from the upstream Changelog:
