Bug#673203: Hmmm... Maybe

Maybe it's time to become a DD. I've been unable to scare up a job in IT for a long time now so maybe it's time to plan to just live on Social Security benefits (if you call that living) and invest my copious free time into the community.

I started with Debian at version 1.0^H1 (Linux Counter number 2419) and have been using Audacity and a little Ardour and JACK, but not much snd. I'm mostly an OS internals kind of guy. Website at http://www.radix.net/~dlc if you're interested. At the moment I just got my hand-me-down Gigabyte Intel quad-core 8 GB box with a GeForce 6600 NV43 adapter upgraded to Linux Mint XFCE Maya with the nvidia driver and was starting to look at building Wheeze from source optimized for performance in another partition. I also have an Acer Aspire One 1 GB Atom netbook about to get the Maya treatment.

What do you think about me getting involved with maintaining the snd debs? How much time do you think this is going to require?
