The reasons for removing insight were not mysterious, see #566579. (embedded copies of other libraries is a substantial problem). Integrating gdb into the insight source is a *bad* thing, not a good one, it duplicates an existing package and would result in multiple copies in the archive as well as on systems. See also #546825 An RFP bug also needs to document things like the URL of the package, the licence(s) applicable and the programming language used. (Some of those are obvious for insight, some are not) along with a likely description of the package. (See any of the other RFP bugs filed against WNPP). Do you still want insight in Debian?
