After some discussion with Joosa, it appears as though original LIERO embeds sounds from MOLEZ ("freeware" freely distributable), and code from "SMIX" (sound lib, "freeware", donations requested for commercial use) I don't however see this stopping liero-data being in non-free, as was intended all along, as long as the LIEROENG.TXT license terms are modified to omit "(...) WITHOUT ANY CHANGES MADE TO IT'S CONTAINMENTS". Joosa has indicated that that wording is no longer valid, but this likely needs a more explicit statement than comments over IRC. I have suggested: The original liero data and binary files are copyright 1998 Joosa Riekkinen They are, unless otherwise stated, available under the WTFPL license: <http://sam.zoy.org/wtfpl/> . The LIERO.EXE binary contains the SMIX sound library: <http://homepages.cae.wisc.edu/~brodskye/smix/smix.html> SMIX is freeware, donations are requested for commercial use. . LIERO.SND contains sounds from Molez: <http://www.fractilegames.com/product.php?id=molez> Molez is freeware and freely distributable. . The license in LIEROENG.TXT is no longer valid but the file is kept for nostalgic purposes ;) -- Martin Erik Werner <martinerikwerner@gmail.com>
