Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I intend to orphan the jabberd14 package. I no longer use
it and active upstream development has practically stopped.
The last upstream release was on July 2007.

My use-case for this package was very simple, just a very
simple jabber server in a domestic LAN, without SSL and
without server to server communication.
For a very simple jabber server I would recommend to use
prosody. For other needs, ejabberd would do just fine.

I remark that because this package is bitrotting and almost
all outstanding bugs have to do with those features that I
don't use and I'm not really interested.

In fact I'm wondering if I should ask its removal from the
archive. If nobody adopt it soon I'll ask for removal.

Cheers,
