Haml and Sass have, finally, become independent projects. This is why
I would like to package this project in new version and replace

Uhm, what you do here is called hijacking.

Please instead take over the libhaml-ruby package. Coordinated with its
current maintainer(s), of course!

Great that you are interested in this. If you are interested in Sass as
well, then please join me in maintaining that. :-)

Yes I would like to package Sass too. And I know that my proposal could be a kind of hijacking but this project is officially splited in two independent branches maintained in separate repositories, and while current libhaml-ruby in debian is outdated than I think that we could abandon libhaml-ruby and replace it with two source packages: haml and sass.

I also think that current package can be still in use with ruby 1.8 while new version can be packaged with ruby 1.9.

Another question is why source package is called libhaml-ruby while it should be just haml (it contains binaries - not only library files)...
