I am interested in maintaining this package. Either alone, or - preferrably - teaming up with you guys who've already done some some valuable preparations for it.
I have put up a git at the collab-maint area of Alioth with my work on this so far. If you agree with my style of improving the packaging and want to help, you are quite welcome.
If you perhaps feel uncomfortable with some details - be it CDBS, collab-maint or whatever, then I will happily help clarify: I would rather spend time introducing more people to join this than work alone.
If you - even if keeping this bugreport at only FRP stage - feel that I am somewhat hijacking (e.g. if you want to co-maintain but dislike me "infecting" it with CDBS) then just tell me to [stop] and take over the maintainance yourself.
Kind regards, - jonas[stop]: Sorry, the alternative of switching away from CDBS and keep me as co-maintainer is not an option: I have streamlined my maintainance practice around CDBS for all of the 200+ packages that I am involved in maintaining, and have no current interest in slowing down in favor of broadening my toolset.
