Since the library is not meant for use by other packages, perhaps it
would make sense to put it in /usr/lib/klatexformula/? That is the
usual convention for package-private libraries (so another package or
the sysadmin can install her own libklf* without conflicting with the
klatexformula installation).
Barring that, I think you would want to have three library packages:
- libklatexformula3 - the runtime libraries
- libklatexformula-dev - the development library
- libklatexformuia-doc - the API documentation
which could be used to embed a klatexformula widget in other GUIs if I
understand correctly.
