Hi,

The status is still the same: the maintainer of iptables-dev didn't
include iptables.h, which prevents compiling in Debian. It would be a
quite bad practice to embed that file in miniupnp, therefore, I didn't
continue my packaging work, even though I also have a package that is
working.

If you want things to go forward, get in touch with the upstream
maintainer of iptables in the Linux kernel, and ask him if:

- he considers that iptables.h is a public API
- if he doesn't, then what is, to him, the public API
- if there's no public API, then can one be made so that iptables can be
packaged easily

Depending on the answer of the upstream maintainer, we will hopefully be
able to go forward on this packaging.

As miniupnp is used in many devices, I really think it would be a good
thing to have it in Debian, so thanks in advance for your interest in
solving the issue.
