We talked about it in the pm-utils list, but it does not sound feasible. pm-utils achieves lots of flexibility by using rather complex shellscripts that source a large library of useful functions. Running those shellscripts on the freerunner takes seconds of real time: http://www.mail-archive.com/pm-utils@lists.freedesktop.org/msg01952.html It also implements a "cancel resume" exit code from hooks, that is currently used to resuspend right away if the phone ususpended just because you unplugged your USB cable. Normal pm-utils won't be able to support that anytime soon, but they agreed to standardise the exit code (see the whole thread linked earlier). The lack of quirks support is not as bad as it sounds, as you'd use pm-utils-light on embedded hardware where you generally have an intimate relationship with the hardware and are either in a position to fix the drivers getting rid of the quirks, or in a need to handle quirks with hardware-specific custom code. I'd say that the systems that need quirk support are more than fast enough to handle standard pm-utils without issues.
