I think most licensing issues have been resolved upstream. We also maintain Ubuntu packages upstream: https://launchpad.net/~pmjdebruijn/+archive/ppa/+packages So I don't see why Debian would want to package Darktable separately. If there is anything wrong with my packages, please let me know, I'm sure we'll be able to work things out, so Debian can import my package 1:1. Regards, Pascal de Bruijn
