 Das U-boot is a cross-platform bootloader for embedded systems, used
 as default boot loader by several board vendors.  It is intended to
 be easy to port and to debug, and runs on many supported
 architectures, including PPC, ARM, MIPS, x86, m68k, NIOS, and
 Microblaze.

Note that debian already has uboot-envtools and uboot-mkimage which
work with this bootloader.

Note also that the debian u-boot packager may be interested in some of
the development branches of different subsystem custodians (such as
u-boot-marvell, at git://git.denx.de/u-boot-marvell.git, which
currently has guruplug support) if the goal is to support certain
devices for debian before they are adopted into the u-boot mainline.
