Coin,This package has at least 2 major bugs which render it totally unusuable and block PHP 5.3 transition for people using it. It will probably be out of Squeeze if we don't act quickly.
Guillaume, you claimed to be willing to adopt this package in #530621, but to lack a sponsor. If you still intend to work on this package, i would be glad to sponsor you.
