Some comments: what about the slave x-terminal-emulator.1 man page
in the update-alternatives call?
  update-alternatives \
    --install /usr/bin/x-terminal-emulator \
              x-terminal-emulator /usr/bin/sakura 40 \
    --slave /usr/share/man/man1/x-terminal-emulator.1.gz \
            x-terminal-emulator.1.gz /usr/share/man/man1/sakura.1.gz
(in postinst)

and
update-alternatives --remote x-terminal-emulator /usr/bin/sakura
in prerm (guarded by the proper if "$1" ...


Then I would add a menu file in debian:
?package(sakura):needs="X11" section="Applications/Terminal Emulators"\
  title="Sakura" command="/usr/bin/sakura"

Other than that it looks fine.
