Bug#579593: Plans for a sssd package in Debian?

Hi. You get this as one of the uploaders of the sssd package in
Ubuntu.

I am considering to upload the sssd package to Debian. I've
registered WNPP request #579593 for this. What are your thoughts
regarding a Debian upload? How much work is it to maintain sssd?.
Should we look into some shared maintainence between Ubuntu and
Debian? Are there others considering a Debian upload?

Looking at the package, one change is required (provide init.d script
instead of upstart job), and one is on my wishlist (support
pam-auth-update). The rest seemed fine for Squeeze. See
<URL: http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/initscripts-ng-devel/2010-April/000855.html >
for a draft init.d script.

Cc to btw WNPP request.

Happy hacking,
