* Package name    : virt-goodies

  Upstream Author : Julien Rottenberg, Steven Wagner, Soren Hansen,
                    Jamie Strandboge
* URL             : http://launchpad.net/virt-goodies
* License         : GPL
  Programming Lang: Python
  Description : A collection of helpful virtualisation related tools

The package currently exist in Ubuntu, and I discovered the need for
both the vmware2libvirt tool and the munin plugin when I started
working on migrating some windows machines from physical to virtual
today.

I've emailed Soren Hansen, the maintainer in Ubuntu, and asked if
anyone else is working on getting this package into Debian, and plan
to upload it myself if no-one else do it first. :)

This is the package description in Ubuntu.

Description: A collection of helpful virtualisation related tools
 Included tools are:

  * A libvirt munin plugin.
  * A script to convert VMWare Workstation and Server VM's to
    kvm/libvirt ones.
 More to come.
Homepage: http://launchpad.net/virt-goodies

There has been no work upstream since 2008, but the included scripts
are definitely still useful. :)

 virt-goodies (0.3-1) unstable; urgency=low
 .
   * Initial upload based on the package in Ubuntu (Closes: #570216).
   * Add dependency on uuid-runtime, needed by vmware2libvirt.
   * Remove 'more to come' comment from package description. Nothing
     have shown up in two years, so it seem a bit misplaced.
   * Update standards-version from 3.7.3 to 3.8.4. No change needed.
   * Build-depend on quilt and modify rules to apply patches.
   * New patch vmware2libvirt-quotes.diff solving a parse error with
     vmware files generated on Windows.
