Bug#515141: ITP: libmimic -- A video codec for Mimic V2.x content

hi list,
I'm working in a package that depends on libmimic. I notice that kopete use libmimic too, but it is not an independent package. So, is it okey if I package libmimic (even when it was being updated since 3 years ago) ?
