Unfortunately, you missed the license of the documentation, which isdistributed under the Create Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.0 license. It has been written that this license is not compatible with the DFSG, so it may be worthwile contacting the author and suggesting him to upgrade it to version3.0, which is accepted by our archive administrators.
Thank you Charles, I have contacted the upstream author to request that he update the license. The copyright listed on the syntax home page is 2005, so he probably hasn't reviewed this in some time. I'll send a followup response when I hear more.
