Between posting to b.d.o and your response I did find (I think
via a Ubuntu repo) a package for i386 by Andreas Jonsson,
version 0.2+svn96-0.1~px1
Installs fine, but did seem to crash suddenly and silently, and
I haven't gotten back to try anything like a strace against it.
This is using Genuine Debian Unstable box2d.
Cool about the Maemo platform - hadn't heard of it before someone
pointed me at this app - and I'd guessed it was 'based on Debian'
the same way many films are 'based on a true story'. ;)
