Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

  Package name : wdg-offline-validator
  Version : 1.2.2
Upstream Author : Liam Quinn <liam@htmlhelp.com>
  URL : http://www.htmlhelp.com/tools/validator/offline
  License : GPL or Artistic
  Programming Lang: Perl
Description : command line html validator (front-end for nsglms)

This package provides the command validate, which uses a validating SGML
parser to test for conformance to HTML standards.

Packaging Notes:

After a somewhat inconclusive discusion on debian-devel [1] I decided
to go ahead and package the command line html validator from
wdg-html-validator seperately, and drop my ITA [2]. Even if someone
does decide to make a new version of wdg-html-validator, there is no
actual files shared between the two packages other than the one script
'validate', which could then be dropped from the cgi+html package.

I could use some help with the long description...
