That would be great. I expect the hardest part will be the upgrade
process from earlier versions.

The versioning is always going to be hard since OpenLDAP releases so
quickly, but I wonder if we could make the Debian packages more generally
useful if we were active about backporting it. (Still doesn't help during
release freeze, though.)
