(Uh, the following is of course not the long description. I don't have
one atm, sorry. Shout if you're annoyed and I'll send here a copy before
uploading.)

Currently, the "markdown" package provides the original Markdown
implementation in Perl by John Gruber (http://daringfireball.net).

A fork of this code exists in CPAN, namely Text::Markdown. It aims at
being compatible with the original markdown syntax, whilst fixing
several bugs and being in general properly maintained. However, it is
way way slower.

I'm not very sure whether libtext-markdown-perl should Conflict: markdown,
of if Markdown.pm should be handled via alternatives. Any opinions about
that welcome.

Additionally, this package provides Text::Multimarkdown, which does
extend the original markdown syntax. Regarding the alternatives bit
above, Text::MultiMdwn uses Text::Mdwn, so we'd have to see if
Text::MultiMdwn works against the original Text::Mdwn or not.

I intend to upload the initial packaging to the pkg-perl Alioth
repository.

she'll be like, "What did you do this weekend?" and I'll say, "Nothing",
but really I was fucking some other girl.
