There was one issue blocking the construction of a proper package:

That seems to have been fixed now.
I have therefore uploaded a new version of the package to
http://anarcat.ath.cx/debian/unstable/
Note that there is some progress upstream to distribute a merged
gmpc-plugins package that would render this ITP obsolete. Stay tuned.
