I have made some progress on the packaging. 1. the package is now non-native. i have made a seperate branch in Mercurial for the package 2. i have renamed the package to pychessclock because I found an already existing clock from 2006: http://gnomecoder.wordpress.com/chessclock/ i have since introduced the missing features in my package 3. micah anderson has agreed to sponsor an upload. he will do so when he finds the time.
