Would the Experimental, or Volatile repository be suitable for this package? Wine has been in main for aeons, despite having a new version released approximately fortnightly, so I don't think the short development cycle is *per se* a problem, though any updates that change the protocol would need accounting for, which is why volatile seems a reasonable route to go.
