Description : C++ Libraries for Computer Vision Research and Implementation

VXL (the Vision-something-Libraries) is a collection of C++ libraries
designed for computer vision research and implementation. It was created
from TargetJr and the IUE with the aim of making a light, fast and
consistent system. VXL is written in ANSI/ISO C++ and is designed to be
portable over many platforms.

Please see the VXL website for more information.

The license is available from here:

I'd like to package this library as a dependency for an upcoming package
of Freesurfer (first open source release in the very near future).

If anyone is already using this library or has experience with it:
Co-maintainers are very welcome!

Cheers,

Michael

Due to the fact that the ITK package in Debian contains significant
parts of VXL already and my currently limited time, I think it is
reasonable to close this ITP.

I will not remove the package from mentors.d.n (at least until it is
auto-cleaned there -- if ever). Whoever wants to take over: please do.

Thanks,

Michael
