Bug#449205: RFP: stix-fonts -- the Scientific and Technical Information eXchange fonts

Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name    : stix-fonts
  Version         : beta-20071031
  Upstream Author : STI Pub Companies <betatest@stixfonts.org>
* URL             : http://www.stixfonts.org
* License : STIX Fonts User License (similar to other open fonts)
  Programming Lang: none
  Description : the Scientific and Technical Information eXchange fonts

This is a beta release of the STIX fonts for scientific publications.
Development was begun in 1995, and this is the first public release.
Some further work needs to be done before the group releases the final
version.

The STI Pub Companies include the American Institute of Physics [1], the
American Chemical Society [2], the American Mathematical Society [3], the
Institute of Electrical and Elecronics Engineers [4], the American Physical
Society [5], and Elsevier [6].

The license seems open (and similar to other font licenses), but I am not
sure if it adheres to the DFSG. Someone in debian-legal will need to
review. The text of the license can be found at [7].
