If you feel that your packaging isn't getting anywhere, RFP would seem
more appropriate.
Having it as ITP without working actively on it just prevents others
from grabbing it. If you think you might start again you can always
ask for any takers of the RFP to contact you.
Personally I'm just an interested bystander who thinks it would be
practical if Debian could legally start distributing a working JVM (I
have my doubts about the legality of the current JVM packages :-( ).
