some more info:
this bug is actually a followup of bug #179769. I have reopened it
because it seems to me that the main point of xf4vnc, that is
rendering/antialiasing, was not considered in that discussion. (being
that bug expired, I could not add my comment there).

I am not the only one wishing for x4vnc to be packaged for debian; see
for instance this message (about using an antialiased openoffice through
x4vnc):
